Okay, so a lot of the posts on this blog aren't even ramblings. A lot are just reblogs of photos and quotes and things that I like. I'm a freshman in college now, with an undecided major and an even more undecided life plan. I honestly believe my blog is helping me shape my ideas to help me figure out what my main interests are, but I have so many interests and the one truth I know is that I don't want to live a life where I can only do one thing for the rest of it. I don't believe that a college degree gets you exactly where you want to be, and I'm trying to believe that it isn't worth getting a degree in something you do not care for and pursue a career in something of the same sort-but I am not sure if getting a degree in what you want will get you where you want to be.

I don't know where I want to be yet, so I've got a long way to journey. I think that this journey might take a lifetime.
Did anyone miss me?

Whoa, I can’t believe I went a full day without watching clips of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”.

I’m glad I was able to. I know I definitely thought about watching some. Though I’m nowhere near it yet, I’m terrified of seeing all of them so soon so I need to slow it down!

BUT IT’S SO FUCKING GOOD I JUST CAN’T HELP MYSELF.

Jenny feeling fab

The way my mom describes Jenny-“the really pretty, energetic blonde girl.” Jenny just has this classy, sexy face, reminds me of the beautiful women of 90s shows and movies. Classic beauty. Makes you feel good just to see her smiling face.

I cut and paste the above text so I could make this a photo post. Shut up. This is interesting. The last time I used my tablet was a biiit before Windows Vista existed.

Note Of Note of the Day: From the Associated Press’ Washington-based Assistant Chief of Bureau for photos, J. David Ake

A protester handed President Barack Obama a note while shaking hands along a rope line in New Hampshire today.  Photographer Charlie Dharapak smartly zoomed in so you can read the note for yourself.

Transcript follows for those who can’t:

Mr. President: Over 4000 peaceful protesters / have been arrested / While banksters continue / to destroy the American economy (with impunity) / You must stop the assault / on our 1st ammendment rights [sic]. / Your silence sends a message / that police brutality is ac(ceptable) / Banks got bailed out. / We got sold out.

Wow, I never knew how dangerous hijabis are.

Also, okay, IMPORTANT NEWSFLASH:

ALLAH IS THE ARABIC WORD FOR THE ABRAHAMIC GOD.

IT IS USED BY ARAB CHRISTIANS.

WHEN YOU INSULT ALLAH, YOU INSULT YOUR OWN GOD.

and I am not sure God will be so pleased.

Tw for slurs and talk of child molestation Wow I just Muzzies???? Really? Calling our prophet a CHILDMOLESTER? Somehow I have a feeling you weren’t a person who protested against joe paterno WELP

The first comment that stands out the most for me is the fact that they say that they aren’t even people.

This is what Islamophobia does to us, folks. It dehumanizes Muslims and considers them not even people.

WOW

I saw the commercial for the show last night and my face lit up. My roommate is a Muslim and I love that I’ve gotten the first-hand chance of learning more about her religion and culture, so the fact that now there will be a show that lets the rest of America have the experience of learning about Muslims from All-American Muslim families is a wonderful thing. We’re going to be hearing their side, they’re inviting us into their lives because they want to help us understand. The ignorance of the comments is just appalling, but if they won’t even be open-minded enough to at least give the show one watch, to try to understand, or to even accept the fact that this is a show of true All-American Muslim families here, in America, then I can’t consider these ignorant, judgmental people to be true Americans. I can’t argue with the fact that they are human, but a true American would be proud of diversity, satisfied that fellow citizens are enjoying their rights to be of their religion, and thrilled that we are moving forward into displaying these things for the rest of the nation to enjoy and to learn about some of the people we share this country with. Sorry you guys, but you can’t call this country great until you recognize that that greatness comes from having this wonderful diversity that not all countries’ people are allowed to have. If you think otherwise then you might just want to question your own humanity.
